Silk shading is a beautiful embroidery technique to master. This upcoming class covers how to create shape with the direction of stitches and understanding how to blend colour to create interest and dimension.
Across the course of six weeks, tutor led stitching sessions will be held via zoom. Attending class sessions is strongly recommended however the sessions will be recorded and these recording will be made available for 8 weeks following the end of the class.
The materials pack contains everything needed to work the design from pre-printed fabric, 28 stranded cottons, needles, instruction booklet and a high resolution postcard to use as a reference. There are also a series of supporting videos which will be made available to all students who take the class to help consolidate the techniques covered to create this piece.
Registration for this class is closing Friday 17th April. Class kits will be shipped from Monday 19th April. There will be 15 spaces available in this first class. A second class will run if the first books up quickly, keep an eye on the website for additional dates.
